Martin and Chrissy all ready for Great North Run

Six brave Hallam supporters are running 13 miles in the Great North Run on 20th September to raise money for CAFOD.  They include veteran runner Martin Desforges and daughter-in-law Chrissy Desforges.

Mother-of-3 Chrissy runs to get fit and also to give her a bit of’ ‘me’ time away from her busy house.  Now she has taken up the challenge of this exciting half-marathon to raise money for CAFOD’s work in poor areas of the world.

Grandfather-of-5 Martin is a veteran of many half-marathons, including the tough Kilimanjaro half-marathon.  He worked for several year in Tanzania and has seen at first hand the need for CAFOD to support development there.

Martin and Chrissy are looking for sponsors, so if you would like to encourage them and help CAFOD, contact hallam@cafod.org.uk
