Fundraising can be great fun!

by Angela Powell

Pupils from Mount St Marys High School, Spinkhill raised £360 for the overseas charity CAFOD.  Students Matt and Alistair said they took part in a ‘Casuals Day’ which involved coming to school in casual clothes rather than school uniform.

Matt said “We feel that ‘Casuals Day’ at the Mount, is a great way of fundraising for charities like CAFOD.” Angela Powell said the money would be used to help communities in developing countries, including young people, to access the skills and knowledge they need to work their way out of poverty and become free to carve out their own futures.
