Young Volunteers training session 3!

By Annie Powell

On the 17th April, myself along with other young CAFOD supporters came together for the third Volunteers Training session held at All Saints school.DSCN1821

After taking part in the first activity, the life size board game, I came away with lots of knowledge about CAFOD and the Hungry For Change Campaign. The game involved getting into teams and working our way around the board. The obstacles blocking our way to the finishing point included ‘fact or fiction’ questions as well as other Hungry For Change related questions which had to be answered correctly in order for us to be able to pass that particular point.

Regional media manager Ged Naughton came along and talked to us about the media side of things at CAFOD such as how to write a press release.

Once again, it was a really enjoyable, interesting afternoon which gave me a chance to learn more about CAFOD and be alongside other great people.
