The most powerful storm ever to hit land struck the Philippines on 8 November, causing widespread destruction on an unprecedented scale. Over 10,000 are already feared dead and millions of terrified people have lost their homes and possessions.

CAFOD is appealing for funds. We urgently need your support. Please make a donation today.

Your gift will help local church partners provide emergency shelter to those who have been left with nothing. It will also provide food, clean water and essential household items such as blankets, clothes and cooking equipment.

Fr. Edwin Gariguez, Executive Secretary of Caritas Philippines, said: “It’s the first time the Philippines has experienced a disaster of this magnitude. Despite the precautions, this was beyond all expectations. We really need all the help we can get.”
