Calling All CAFOD Young Volunteers

Next week sees the 2nd meeting of Fixed Term Young Volunteers

We are meeting up again at All Saints School, Granville Road Sheffield, S2 2RJ, on Wednesday 4th December 2013 from 1.30pm until 4.30pm.   This is our Second meeting together for this term and a chance to talk about any prayer, fundraising or campaign activities we have been able to plan or do in our school communities.

To help us prepare for the meeting, please think about any ways you might have encouraged others to learn more about CAFOD’s work – have you spoken in an assembly, put up a poster, written prayers for liturgies?Have you made anyone in your school aware of the work of CAFOD and the need for social justice? If you’ve done these or any other initiatives tell us about it on the day.

It is also important for us to recognise what is NOT POSSIBLE TO DO, so please come willing to share the challenges and obstacles too!

The CAFOD team will show you more resources and up to date information about our work as well as help for you to develop new skills which will be really useful for other aspects of our school life and future careers.

For students travelling independently, don’t forget to complete the school/parent consent form and bring it with you.

To help us plan and in spirit of good stewardship, please let us know if you are hoping to come along by email (hallam@cafod.org.uk) or  twitter @CAFODHallam
