Sheffield runner affected by lack of water

untitledWhen Andy Ogley arrived at the Sheffield Half Marathon event to run for CAFOD and raise funds for water projects around the world, he didn’t expect to be one of the thousands of runners to be affected by a lack of water. Luckily for the runners in Sheffield, water was provided by generous spectators and local businesses along the route. Sadly, for millions of people around the world struggling to survive because of a lack of water due to climate change, issues of sufficient water are not that easy to resolve. Thanks to wonderful supporters like Andy, CAFOD is able to raise funds and work alongside some of the poorest communities who suffer, helping them to access training and technology to harvest and conserve water and adapt livelihoods to work their way out of poverty. Andy said “Thanks to all those who sponsored me and it’s never too late to make a donation to CAFOD” donations can be made through the CAFOD website http://www.cafod.org.uk.
