Preparing for Harvest Fast Day, 2nd October 2015

Don’t forget that Harvest Fast day will take place on Friday 2nd October 2015.   We are looking forward to celebrating God’s grace, and inviting everyone to prepare to say thank you and share the good things in our lives with others.  Please volunteer to raise funds and improve the lives of those who are in desperate need. Harvest fast day

This year, our Fast day story focusses on our work in the worlds’ poorest country, Niger, where many struggle to grow sufficient food because of the shorter rainy seasons.  CAFOD’s partners Caritas Niger, are working with people like 74 year old Hamani, sharing tools and expert knowledge to enable local communities to grow sufficient food. As Christian servants, we do not harvest for some, but for all, including those like Hamani, because we want to include everyone in the feast of love and life.

Please join us to work in partnership with communities in Niger, help us raise funds and awareness, and if you are struggling for ideas to fundraise click here  to visit our A-Z of fundraising ideas.   If you would like more information about volunteering for CAFOD, email the local team hallam@cafod.org.uk. Also, keep a look out for forthcoming Harvest Fast Day local briefings, dates and venues to be announced shortly.

As always, we are ever grateful for your support, generosity and prayers. All of which enable the work that CAFOD does to improve the lives of thousands.
