Tour de CAFOD

Jenny Seymour, one of the CAFOD Hallam Schools Volunteers met with Mark Conway, Head of RE at St Wilfrids’ Primary Voluntary Academy, before he embarks on his mammoth cycling expedition for CAFOD

Mark Conway, Head of RE, St Wilfrids Primary, Sheffield, CAFOD Hallam training for his charity cycle ride to London’s Romero House

As the end of the long summer term draws to an end, many people are looking forward to their well-deserved holidays, but not Mr Conway (Head of RE at St Wilfrids’ primary school)!  Instead, Mr Conway is busily planning a route from the school all the way down to CAFOD’s Head Office in Romero House – trying to avoid the M1 and any roadworks ! – in order to raise some much needed funds for CAFOD.

Mr Conway hopes that the route, which may see him travelling across many counties and cover at least 200 miles, will be a bit flatter once he gets out of the Tour de Yorkshire countryside, but he believes that his training around the Peaks of Sheffield will stand him in good stead for whatever may come his way!

The direct route to Romero House via the M1 !

Please wish him well if you see him on his way and if you can, donate to his justgiving page.  Many thanks and have a great summer holiday!bike-handles-orange
