Ciara’s coming to Sheffield

Jeremy Cain, Community Participation Coordinator for CAFOD in Hallam, is looking forward to a very special visitor.

Ciara and friends

Ciara with Kayleigh, a fellow Step into the Gap volunteer and Maggie, our woman in Nottingham

I don’t know about you but sometimes I lose sight of why I love CAFOD. So it’s great to get the opportunity to hear news from our “front line” and be reminded about all the life-changing work we do.

Ciara Hogan has just come back from Visiting CAFOD projects in El Salvador and Nicaragua and will be telling us about them next Wednesday at St. Vincent’s church in Sheffield. She’s one of our Step into the Gap volunteers and has seen first hand how the prayers, gifts and campaigning

of supporters is helping people work their way out of poverty and fight against injustice.

You can get a flavour of what she’s been up to here, but you’d be better off coming to meet her! She has Sheffield roots too, as her dad is from this neck of the woods and her grandma still lives here. We’d love to see you there.

Wednesday 2nd May at 7.30 p.m.
